          Jonathan Espinoza,

          Thank you for posting.

I am unable to replicate the issue you describe.  What I have done is this:

          1. Opened FileMaker Pro 10.0.3 on Windows 7 Professional 64-bit

          2. At the Quick Start Menu, select Created a Database from Existing: Excel workbook (.xlsx);  locate TEST.xlsx, select and click Open

          3. Select "Field Names" radio button in the First Row Option panel

          3. Name file "Testing10" and save it

          4. Database appears with imported data.

          Alternatively:

          2. Select "Import records" from the File Menu, select File...

          3. Locate TEST.xlsx, select and click Open

          3. At the Import Field Mapping dialog, drop down the Target box to select New Table called "TEST"

          3. Click Import

          4. Database appears with imported data.

Both of these methods appear to differ a bit from what you document.  Please let me know if you are able to follow either of these options and still encounter an error.

You might also try this with different excel files--especially a brand new one created just for testing purposes (need only have a few cells of data)--to see if the problem is specific to your particular excel file.
