Summary

Save As PDF displays all borders with Dashed option when viewed in Adobe Reader even when border setting is partially on

Product

FileMaker Pro

Version

13.0v4

Operating system version

Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard Service Pack 1

Description of the issue

I am working on the complicated print layout and i want to show a dashed line to separate each content section in pdf. When saving records as a PDF in FileMaker Pro, fields that are set with partial borders with Dashed option display all borders when viewing the PDF in Adobe Reader.

I have found this issue with the answer ID is 10162 on Filemaker Help, but that answer only solves the case which the line is set with Solid option.

Steps to reproduce the problem

1. Add the text field which shows a dashed line in the print layout
2. In the Appearance tab in the Inspector dialog, set Line option Dashed with 0,5 point and black color. Then set the bottom border on, the other borders are off.
3. Display the print layout in Preview mode

Expected result

Only the bottom border of the field appears when viewing the pdf.

Actual result

All the borders of the field appears when viewing the pdf.
