Question asked by MattNavarre on Mar 22, 2013

Scripting imports using 'Importing Matching Records' doesn't save

FileMaker Pro

Operating system version

Mac OS 10.8

Description of the issue

When writing a script with the 'Import Records' command, and selecting data from a FileMaker source (either in an external file, or from a different table in the same file) when you match fields and click the 'Matching Records' radio button in the bottom left, it does not stick the first time you save.

If you go back into the 'Import Records' script step, and click on the 'Specify Import Order' button, you see that it did not stick, and reverts to 'Add New Records'  If you click on 'Importing Matching Records' again, it will stick. Once it sticks, the script runs reliably, long-term.

Steps to reproduce the problem

Create script, use Import Records command, select data source, choose matching field, save. Go back into script.

Expected result

Expect it saves first time

Actual result

Only saves after the first time

Click button again.

I can make a JING video that shows this, if you'd like. If this is not a known bug, and it's not a problem just with my system.
