Hi Kevin Hoffman:
Thanks for posting.
We have recieved customer reports on the same issue and, during testing, I was able to reproduce the issue here.
I can confirm that this has been forwarded to our Product and Development team, however, there are no updates at this time.
Sounds similar to this bug:
For More Information see: Edit Layout/Report in Pro 11 Screen turns to gray when using either of the scroll bars.
This is one of many acknowledged bugs that can be found in the Known Bug List thread here in the Report an Issue section of the forum.
It can also be downloaded as a database file from: http://www.4shared.com/file/8orL8apk/FMP_Bugs.html
By any chance is the window zoomed to a setting other than 100%?
Thanks to both of you for responding. AFAIK, the users are not zooming the window when this happens. I believe it's just when doing regular (vertical) window scrolling.
Can you confirm whether this post is for a different bug from the one I posted links to in my last post?
It looks like symptoms of the same scenario as I have seen issues with scrolling such as slow scrolling, vertical or horizontal scrolling, and/or zoomed at only 150%.
This happens to me regularly on visually dense layouts.
What is in the topic of this forum stilll happens to me in my office with FMP Adv. 11.0v4 of my boss. Apparently since few days ago it never happened, but soon after some modifications to the database in the sense of new records added to do new tasks within a format, it appeared to be wounded by this display error.I am a total newbie in FileMaker, but being an IT manager with some years of experience I can understand that it is an issue due to graphical problems both of Radeon and graphical routines within FM itself.
I really need a solution to this problem, because I have to redesign an old database which graphical interface needs to be zoomed in and out several times to work on. :(
Our configuration for the two computers is:
AMD Radeon HD 6750M 512 MB
8 GB of RAM
Mac OS X Lion 10.7.4 - System Language is Italian
Thank you for your post.
With FileMaker Pro 11, the blurring can occur if Page Margins are enabled (View menu -> Page Margins). This can also occur if the layout is being zoomed at either 150% or 75%.
I really appreciate your technical response, but may I understand that this issue won't ever be solved also in a future minor release of FMP (11.v5 or v6)?
Are we completetely abandoned then...? :(
Is there any news up till now?
Is it possible to have this very annoying issue solved? I know that there is the new version 12, but what have we version 11 users to do to deal with this very awful graphical trouble when we zoom in and out? I tried to do as TSGal has explained, but still me and (unfortunately!) my boss have the same problem when zoomed at 150% and scrolling vertically and horizontally... :(
And as far as I know, this is a problem concerning not a small amount of users, but mainly those who need to have to compulsorily zoomed due to the structure of the format in use and the limits of 21.5" iMacs displays with their limited height...
I'm having the same issue (MacBook Pro running 10.7.4, FMP 11.04). It's on a layout zoomed to 150%. At least it's solvable if I take the time to re-create the layout as a "view" layout with everything at a readable native size, but that's going to take a while (this affects several complicated layouts).
