      Description of the issue

      Searching in a field defined as "numeric only" with search pattern "*" (any value) is not possible.
      FileMaker shows a message:
      This field is defined to contain numeric values only. You must enter a numeric value.

      Steps to reproduce the problem

      1. Create a database
      2. Create a table field "myNumber", data type "Number".
      3. In 'Validation' check option "Strict data type: [Numeric Only]"
      4. Insert some records to the table.
      5. Switch into Find Mode.
      6. Enter "*" in the field "myNumber".
      7. Click 'Perform Find'.

      Expected result

      Search for any value (not empty) in numeric only fields.

      Actual result

      Error message: This field is defined to contain numeric values only. You must enter a numeric value.

      Configuration information

      Surprisingly searching for ">0" or "<0" is possible.

      Workaround

      If I search in one field only I could make a triple search (>0/<0/0). But if multiple fields are involved ...
