Summary

Searching scripts leaves all folders expanded - now also on Mac OS

Product

FileMaker Pro

Version

14

Operating system version

Mac OS, WIndows

Description of the issue

If you type something into the scripts search box all relevant folders stay open (expanded) after the search input is cleared. This is a new behaviour on Mac OS in 14, on windows this has always been the case.

If you have a lot of scripts in nested folders this is an absolute nightmare and renders the search pretty much useless. On Windows it is even more tragic as there is no option+close action which also collapses all containing folders.

Steps to reproduce the problem

- on a Mac open a database witch a good amount of scripts in nested folders
- collapse all script folders
- type a letter into the script name search box
- clear the search box

Expected result

folder open/closed status is restored as it is in FileMaker 13

Actual result

all folders which contain at least a scripts that uses the typed letter stay open

Workaround

select all items in the scripts pane, type option+arrow_left to collapse folder at all levels. this can take over minute which is another bug in my eyes...
