Summary

Selecting Multiple Objects in Layout Mode Shows No Position Values

Product

FileMaker Pro

Version

12.0v1 Advanced

Operating system version

Mac OS 10.7.4

Description of the issue

In FileMaker Pro 11, when selecting multiple objects in Layout Mode, the Position Inspector would show the outermost values (e.g. the top most object's value, the total width or height of all selected objects).

With FileMaker Pro 12, selecting multiple objects in Layout Mode yields a '-' (minus) value for every Position (i.e. Left, Right, Top, Bottom, Width, Height).  I am viewing the objects in PT (point) mode.

This makes it difficult to accurately copy/paste and place multiple objects from one layout to another, or to see the objects' total width, height, etc.

Steps to reproduce the problem

In FileMaker Pro 12:
1.  Go to Layout Mode
2.  Select multiple objects
3.  Open an Inspector & view the Position panel
4.  Notice that all values read '-'

In FileMaker Pro 11:
1.  Do the same steps above (1-3)
2.  Notice that all values are populated with numerical values

Expected result

This feature should work as it does in FileMaker Pro 11.

Actual result

This feature does not work as expected.
