Send Mail script step with attachment fails without error

Summary

Send Mail script step with attachment fails without error

Product

FileMaker Pro

Version

12v3

Operating system version

Windows Server 2008 R2

Description of the issue

We recently updated to FileMaker Pro 12v3 from 11v3 in a Citrix environment running on Windows Server 2008 R2.  I have tested this outside of Citrix by RDP'ing into the server directly and can confirm the issue is there as well.

Any Send Mail script step using the email client that has a valid attachment no longer creates the new message in the email client which happens to be Outlook 2010.  If there is no attachment or the filepath is gibberish passed in via variable then the email is at least genrated without the attachment.  The simple test script I created is shown below.

Steps to reproduce the problem

Create with Send Mail using client with a valid attachment

Expected result

Email client (Outlook 2010 in our case) should be used to generate a new mail message.

Actual result

The script step produces no result or error.  Nothing happens and the script resumes as if the step was successful.

Exact text of any error message(s) that appear

There is no error given and Get(LastError) returns 0 after the Send Mail step.

Configuration information

If there is no attachment given or an invalid path is sent to the script step by using a variable then the email is generated correctly except for the attachment.
