      Summary

Short-key switching windows calls Help (German version)

      Product

      FileMaker Pro

      Version

      FM11.x, FM12.0

      Operating system version

      OS X 10.6.8

      Description of the issue

Mac OS offers an option in System Preferences to enable keyboard shortcuts for "Move focus to next window in application". On a German keyboard the assigned key combination is ⌘<. Moving the focus to the previous window is ⌘>. > is on the same key as <, therefore you actual press ⇧⌘< to move to the previous window.

Unfortunately in FileMaker, using ⌘< will open FileMaker Help.

      This is very annoying!

      Steps to reproduce the problem

Get a Mac with a German keyboard.
      Install FileMaker.
      Open FileMaker.
      Press ⌘<.

      Expected result

Set focus to the next window in application.

      Actual result

      FileMaker Help opens.

      Configuration information

      Mac with German keyboard.
It does not matter if the OS language setting is changed to German or US. In both cases ⌘< will open FileMaker Help.
