      Summary

Spinning ball on Mac when switching layout views and creating new records

      Product

      FileMaker Pro

      Version

      11

      Operating system version

      Mac OS 10.6.8

      Description of the issue

I have created a new database with 30 records, and approx. 30 fields. When I am switching between layout views, or creating a new record in the list view, the computer displays a 'spinning ball' and is very slow to switch views or create a new record or report.

The Mac I am using is fairly new, and has 475GB of space on it.

Thank you for your post, and I apologize for the late reply.

If you are still encountering this problem, create a new database file and import the data.  Does switching betwen layouts still cause a spinning ball to appear?  Have you tried this in a new user account on your Mac?

I know three months have passed since you originally posted, so if you have since found a resolution, please post here so others with similar symptoms can benefit.
