      Description of the issue

      selecting any time from the pick list triggers error message:
      The value of this field must be a valid time (hours, hours and minutes, or hours, minutes and seconds) and should look like “23:09:03”.

      Exact text of any error message(s) that appear

      The value of this field must be a valid time (hours, hours and minutes, or hours, minutes and seconds) and should look like “23:09:03”.

      Workaround

      times in pick list are formatted:
      10:00 AM
      11:00 AM
      etc
      when deleting "AM" or "PM" after selecting and dismissing error message (OK) time values are accepted

          Markus Jungmann:

          Thank you for your post.

          Time Billing solution should have the field formatting set for 12 hour format.  Go into Layout mode, click the "Start Time" field in the portal, pull down the View menu and make sure "Inspector" is showing.  In the Inspector, click the "Data" tab, scroll down to the bottom under "Data Formatting", click the clock icon and make sure "12 hour" is selected.  If you want 24 hour, then switch from the value list "Hours List (Meridiem)" to "Hours List (24 hours)"

            Hi

            Thanks for coming back to me.

            Tried what you suggested.
            Didn’t solve the problem yet.
            Set it "Data Format" to time, tried 12 and 24 hour settings.
            The pick list is showing AM and PM symbols irrespective of "Data Formatting" setting.
            If a time is selected it enters time with AM PM symbol in field and then triggers error. If error is OK’ed and AM PM symbol deleted it places AM PM symbol in field if that option is selected in "Data Formatting" or not if no symbol is selected and the entry works. How can I reformat pick list / or drop down whichever it is not to show symbol?

              Markus Jungmann:

              The "Hours List (24 hour)" value list does not enter AM PM symbol in field.  Therefore, in the Inspector, first change the Data Formatting from "12 hour" to "24 hour", and then change the "Values from" setting from "Hours List (Meridiem)" to "Hours List (24 hours)".  Return to Browse Mode, and you can then select the proper 24-hour time value.
