Do you see this in all your files, some files or just one file?
If you do not have more than the one file, create a small file with a text field defined in it and test it to see if you get the same behavior.
Thank you for your reply.
The invisabel text is only on one machine and it is for numerous data bases. This is not happening on other machines using the same data bases on the same server.
Since the problem is not limited to a specific file, but is limited to a specific computer, I think I'd next try uninstalling and re-installing FileMaker to see if that helps.
I am having the exact same issue. I have even tried uninstalling and re installing FMP11 but it still has the same issue. The machine in question is XP it had all updates. All the other machines that have FMP11 works fine.
Thank you for your post.
If uninstalling and reinstalling FileMaker Pro 11 doesn't solve the issue, my gut feeling is that it is a Windows issue, as FileMaker Pro uses a lot of system calls for fonts and display. Are you noticing this happening with all fonts or only specific fonts? If just specific fonts, try reinstalling those fonts on the machine.
If it is happening with all fonts, then try to compare the system settings with another machine that is working properly. As a last resort, reinstall Windows XP.
