Does this happen on any FMP file you open? Try creating a brand new file and test it if you haven't already.
If this happens with all your files, you may need to re-install FMP.
If it happens only with one file, the file is damaged, recover it and test. If the recovered file works, replace it with an undamaged back up file if at all possible.
