Summary

The server status states that all systems are normal, however FMP users with AD authentication cannot log in

Product

FileMaker Server

Version

10

Operating system version

Windows Server 2003

Description of the issue

The server status states that all systems are normal, however AD authentication is failing, direct FileMakerPro authentication is working.  The current fix to this problem is a reboot of the server, then all is well.  We run nightly backups of the data, and (sometimes but not everytime) looking into the log files we can see the FMP log message:Information 148 (That the database schedule is running), and thats it.  Normally the entire backbup process including consistency check takes about 44 minutes.  The server seems to have the AD authentication break about once a week.

Configuration information

Windows server 2003 with 1 gig of memory

Workaround

reboot of the server fixes the issue
