Unable to log in, or change a temporary Password in FileMaker Pro 10

    osm

      Summary

Unable to log in, or change a temporary Password in FileMaker Pro 10

      Description of the issue

This bug, as described by Filemaker developers in their Knowledge Base: "The administrator of your file has specified a temporary password that you must change the first time you open the file. When attempting to open the file in FileMaker Pro 10, you receive a dialog box prompting you to change your password, but after multiple attempts, the new password is not accepted." That Filemaker Knowledge Base report for this bug further says, "FileMaker Engineering is aware of this issue, and is currently researching it to better understand the root cause, and possible remedies." But that was back on Tue, 16 Dec 2008!   Is there now a more recent update on when this bug will be fixed?

          From the same article:

"This issue occurs if the file is hosted with FileMaker Pro 9 or FileMaker Server 9 or earlier, and you are accessing the file in FileMaker Pro 10.

NOTE: This issue does not occur when the file is hosted with FileMaker Pro 10 or FileMaker Server 10, and the file is opened in FileMaker Pro 10 or earlier versions. In addition, the issue only occurs with the default privilege sets."
