Thank you for your post.
If you are running under Mac OS, when you select Print, do the fields appear in Preview? If so, what is the make and model of the printer where only a blank page is printed?
Do you have access to another printer? If so, does it print correctly?
Any additional information you can provide may be helpful in narrowing down possible causes.
Thank you for your note. I am running OS X.5.7. When selecting the Print button, and any of my 3 printers, in Preview and on paper I get a blank page.
Oddly though, I tried this with a different FMP database located on a local server, and I CAN print the fields list.
Thank you for the additional information.
Obviously, there is something about that particular database file. Try recovering the file. That is, close the file, pull down the File menu and select "Recover...". The Recover command reads your existing file and creates a new file trying to clean up any errors it finds. It is not a cure-all solution, and it may not fix the problem. Once Recover is finished, be sure to open the Recovered file; not the original (common mistake by many including myself). Then, try again to print the field definitions.
That worked! Although after running the Rcovery the message said no errors found, it did work. Thank you for working with me on this and so very timely too!
