Can I make a script that use the camera on iPad2?
There's a new function on FM GO1.2.1 ,we can tap on container to take a photo. But can I make a script to activated the camera, take a photo in container with a button?
Nearly a year and no answer
Is this not scriptable ?
My tests have not come up with anything, but maybe I've missed something.
Any ideas would be …
I tried Go 12 and the result was a bit stiff. I could get the button to open the dialog with insert buttons but still needed another ta[ or two. Not exactly as convenient as the shutter button on a Nikon with a motor drive...
Go lacks the ability to script a plugin and so we're stuck with what Filemaker has to offer which is not fluid but it does work.
Thank you for your posts.
FileMaker Go does not have a script step to select a Container field and activate the camera. As "Jack Rodgers" discovered, you can access the Container field, but you still have to tap "Camera", take the picture and decide if you are going to use it.
I recommend you enter this suggestion into our Feature Requests web form at:
The entries in this web form are monitored and read by Development and Product Management, where they are then discussed about possible inclusion in a future release. Although I could copy your posts and paste them into the web form, there are a few questions asked that only you individually can answer.
Mmmm I have more or less found a way round this for FileMaker Go.
I don't think I'll be putting in a feature suggestion for this, as the small association I'm programming for won't have the funds to update to FM 12 any time soon, and probably not even in the forseeable future
