more information: Their data plan is currently out of data...so they are using wireless...(i am off site). the iPad not working is at the client location. Could this be because now their connection is no longer secure?

Wireless is fine, but if the connection is dropped, the customer would not be able to make any changes. With that said, once the client has a connection, tap the Container field to make sure the options (Camera, Audio, Signature, etc.) appear.
If the client has updated to iOS 8, make sure FileMaker Go 13.0v5 is installed.
The menu option not showing up shouldn't have anything to do with the line they are using to connect. This can show up because of a couple of different reason.
1. A user has reported problems such as this after updating to ios8 but not updating Filemaker Go, so make sure you have the newest update.
2. If the user has custom security level, make sure all available menu command is set to all.
TSGal and S Chamblee...I asked the user...have you upgraded IOS to 8? "Yes, yesterday."
