Thank you for your post.
At this time, the font rendering and spacing is different on the iPad than a Mac, just as it is between Windows and a Mac. One option would be to use conditional formatting to apply a different font, font style, and/or font size that depending on the platform.
Pardon me TSGal, but didn't we just document a bug with check boxes and conditional formatting?
For More Information see: Conditional formatting on a checkbox does not work in FileMaker Go
This is one of many acknowledged bugs that can be found in the Known Buglist for Filemaker GO here in the Report an Issue section of the forum.
It can also be downloaded as a database file from: http://www.4shared.com/file/8orL8apk/FMP_Bugs.html
You are correct. Check box and Radio Button fields do not work with Conditional Formatting.
Therefore, apply the conditional formatting to the Host side; not to the iPad/iPhone. For example,
Left ( Get (ApplicationVersion) ; 2 ) ≠ "Go" )
Then set the font size to 14 (assuming it was Helvetica 12) and turn on Condense. The results on the host will make it appear closer (although not identical) to how it would be displayed on the iPad.
