Dismiss a popup menu in GO12
When using a pop-up, the item is selected and the script runs OK (finding a set of records), but then the pop-up becomes active again until I click somewhere on the page.
Any clues how to get rid of a popup>
can you use go to field or go to object to put the focus somwhere other than the pop up's field as part of this script?
Also try a Commit Record at the end of the script after the find. This removes the cursor from the popup field.
If you go to a graphic object with a script trigger after changing the pop-up menu selection the pop-up menu will stay open.
If you commit the record the pop-up menu will close but FileMaker Go will automatically select the first field in the tab order.
If you have no tab order defined the 'previous' and 'next' buttons will show up at the bottom of the screen without having a specific function.
If you only define the pop-up menus in your tab order the first pop-up menu will be selected each time you change the value of a different pop-up menu.
It works if your commit the pop-up menu record upon change and pass a script parameter along that will be examined upon field entry into the first field in your tab order. If the parameter has a certain value the first field will automatically go to a specific graphic object.
