Guess I did not miss anything, just found the recently released / updated dev guide
"FileMaker Go doesn’t optimize PDFs for printing. For example, object sliding isn’t supported and choosing not to print objects isn’t supported. Displaying web viewers isn’t supported."
That's a shame :-(
Sliding is not supported because preview mode is not supported .
The PDF functionality without printing optimisation is like a cars without wheel ...
I need to print Job Report with big text field that i want to be automatically reduced on basis of the real content, same for portal rows, I put for exemple 10 rows in the layout but if only 2 records exist I don't want to see the 8 other empty rows.
Please add support of printing optimization (and also the possibility for FM Pro to auto-extend a text field on basis of the content, not only auto-reduce it) I'm coming from Microsoft Access and the report features are really more powerfull than what FM Pro can do.
Thank you for your post.

As a workaround, depending on the complexity of the layout, use a Calculation field that checks for empty rows and removes unwanted blank lines.
