The keyboard pops up when a field is enter into - has focus. Check your script for a "Go to field". My test does not pop up a keyboard, it just changes to the other layout, using go to layout or perform script with the above Case Statement.
Thank you for your post.
I am unable to replicate the issue with FileMaker Go 12.0.7. The script takes me to the proper Layout and does not enter any field. The only change I made was using Set Variable to assign $$AppVersion to a field on the original layout where I enter "iPad".
Is this script being called by another script? Do you have any script trigger for this layout? Anything else you can tell me about the layout might be helpful.
I checked the script using the debugger (changing the $$AppVersion to be iPad whilst actually on the PC) and there are no other steps in the script and not other scripts triggerd etc.
However when I reset the Tab Order for the layout so that there is nothing listed, it has fixed the problem. Anyone have any thought on that?
My test does not enter the field, it just changes layouts. There has to be something in your script that when it changes layouts that it gives focus to the field, such as a new record will give focus to the first field if the tab order is set.
The topic about disabling the keyboard has came up a bunch on this forum. There is no function built into Go, if filemaker get enough features request maybe they will add this feature.
You can make a feature request at the following link.
I have struggled with this too. Easiest fix I have found is to clear all the tabs in tab order.
