    Hide all records

      Hide all records

Script to omit all records in database. How do I omit all existing records to start new set for the current days entry.

The number of records will change each time db opened.

          Tom Norcross:

          Thank you for your post.

Get (FoundCount) returns the number of records in the current found set.  Therefore, a possible script would be:

               Set Variable [ $foundcount ; Get (FoundCount) ]
               Omit Multiple Records [ No dialog ; $foundcount ]

Let me know if you need additional clarification.

You might want to precede those steps with Go to Record/request/page [first] just in case you current record is not the first record.

You can also perform a find using criteria that will never match any record such as specifying a negative number in a serial number field that started with zero when assigning values. set error Capture [on] can keep the "no records found" dialog from popping up in the middle of your script.

and for single user databases, this script has long been used, but I can't recommend it for databases being actively edited by more than one user:

            Show all Records
            Show Omitted Only.
