Is there a way to keep from having to log back in to FileMaker Go?

      Post

Every time I leave my database and then return I have to log back in. Is there any way to toggle back and forth between FileMaker Go and other iPad apps without having to re-login every time?

          Mike Garrett:

          Thank you for your post.

On page 10 of the "FileMaker Go Development Guide", under "File opening and closing behavior", it states:

After FileMaker Go hibernates, you must re-enter your user name and password to return to the file, unless:

          * you are using the Guest account.

          * your user name and password match the user name and password set in the File Options dialog.

          * you have extended privileges and the keyword fmrestorelogin (lowercase) has been defined for those privileges.

Since the first two points aren't relevant, make sure you have the extended privileges set properly for fmrestorelogin.

You can access the "FileMaker Go Development Guide" online at:

Let me know if you need additional clarification.
