Thank you for your post.
FileMaker Go will only function in its own iOS work area. Therefore, you would use Get (DocumentsPath) to access the file on your iOS device. Without seeing your entire script, it's difficult to determine of the changes to make. However, Get (SystemPlatform) returns 3 on an iOS device.
Here is a sample script for FileMaker Go that creates a file "Invoice.pdf" of the found set of records, and sends it to email@example.com:
Set Variable [ $FileName ; Value: "Invoice.pdf" ]
Save Records as PDF [ No dialog ; "$FileName" ; Records being browsed ]
Set Variable [ $PDFPath ; Value: Get ( DocumentsPath ) & $FileName ]
Send Mail [ Send via E-mail Client ; To: "firstname.lastname@example.org" ; Subject: "Invoice" ; Message: "Here is your invoice" ; "$PDFPath" ]
This should give you a good starting point.
Let me know if you need additional clarificaton.
Thanks to you both... I think I'm almost there... This is my first real project designing for GO...
The pdf is still not saving (or if it is) or attaching to my email from my iPhone...
Here's a screenshot of my script (I want the PDF generated from a specific reporting layout so you'll see that step).
The "Save Records as PDF" script step should include "$FileName"; not "$FilePalth".
If this still fails, check to make sure the PDF file is being saved by returning to the FileMaker Go home screen, where the PDF file will be listed below the FileMaker Go files in the left column "Files On Device".
Yes! Thanks TSGal!
That fixed it... (it's usually the little things)
