Where is the file located: on your desktop or on the Go device?
The file is on a desktop
Commit Record often solves a lot of problems. Filemaker was initialy designed to be easy to use to create files and to add data to them. It handled most of the saving etc.
However, when more advanced features were added, it became the developer's duty to tell Filemaker what to do.
Try adding a Commit Record button on the layout in question and see if that solves the problem.
Anywhere you script a new record step you should add Commit Record.
For instance, on computer A you can create a new record in a script and have data entered and sit there looking at the new record BUT it won't show up on any remote computer until after you save it. Same thing for changes.
Thus if you are working on a record on your desktop, the changes will not show up in your IOS device portal until you save the record.
Also, when a field used as a key in a relationship is modified, commit record as the next step is often helpful in keeping things "up to date" on your layout.
