Title

Running remote script off of iPad from central workstation

Post

Hello,

I have created a script that import/exports records from an iPad running FMGo to a central workstation running FMPro. It works great when both files are on the local machine but not having the same luck running over wireless.

I have a workstation with IP 169.254.20.46 and iPad with IP 169.254.20.45. I have been trying to add external data sources on the local machine file but when I tell it to look for fmnet:/169.254.20.45/File Mobile.fp7, it can not find the file. However, the file on the iPad is able to run remote scripts from the local machine using the similar configuration fmnet:/169.254.20.46/File Server.fp7.

I can think of a few reasons this would not work but can somebody give me a hint to the proper way to do this?

I need: The local machine file to be able to find the iPad file so that it can run the scripts.

ANY help is GREATLY appreciated.

Thank you!
