Saving record as pdf and emailing

      Post

I have files that I have set up in Filemaker ver 10.3. Each file has mulitple records. I have the files saved on a server using filemaker server 10.0.  I can open the files on my iPad using Filemaker go. I can change the records. What I cannot do is save/send those records when I am done with them.  When I click the gear icon in the upper right hand corner I get the save/send message box and then in that message box I get 2 choices...databases and filed contents....both of which are grayed out.  How can I send records to someone? Or can I only send files?

          Thank you for your post.

If the file is being served by FileMaker Server, then saving the database would be grayed out.  If you have your cursor in a field, the "Field Contents..." should be available to you.

If you want to save records to a PDF file, then tap "Print" and select PDF.  You will then get the option to Email the PDF file (as well as View and Save).

Let me know if you need additional clarification.
