      setting up on an ipad

      Post

      Hi Group

I am using an ipad to fill in data on a database that is hosted on a computer over my wireless network, however it takes too long to keep reconnecting etc..

Is it possible to copy a form and it's table onto the ipad so that the data is filled in directly on the ipad and then I can upload the filled records as and when I want.

Note: the table and form are part of a much larger database and have relations etc.. so I will need to export out just the bits i want on the ipad.

Is this possible and how do i go about acheiving it?

      Regards  Fluffy.

          Thanks for posting!

It's possible and it involves storing a copy of the database on the device itself, creating a script to import the appropriate records and running that script each time you want to merge the data. There's a few different approaches to this and it really depends on your situation as far as which one will work best for you. I recommend taking a look at this knowledge base answer for more information on this subject:
