Is the PDF inserted in the container field or is it a referenced file?
It's not PDF's, it is images taken with the iPad. The user takes a picture with the iPad and then it gets inserted into the database. We are trying to get a server installation which might help as then images can be stored on the server, but at the moment we have to store the database locally on the iPad. On the iPad 3 the images are able to view, but on the iPad 2 the error comes up.
Thank you for your posts.
On the iPad 3, move the file to a Desktop machine and then open the file in FileMaker Pro. Do the images still appear? If so, then move the file from the Desktop to the iPad 2. Launch FileMaker Go and open the file. Do you still get the error?
On the iPad 2, add a record, tap the Container field and tap Camera. Are you able to take a picture and use it?
Thanks for the reply. I'm not sure if the 12.0.5 Go update sorted it out, but when I spoke to my client the other day I asked him to update his Go as he was still on v12.0.4 and he then commented that the pictures were now opening up.
The problem we were having is that the pictures can be taken on either the iPad 2 or 3 and used in the FM app without any hassel. If we moved the file to any machine even between the differnet iPads and the pictures worked, except on the iPad 2. On the iPad 3 the pictures would come up without a problem.
Now it seems to be working fine, so I would have to guess that it was the update that corrected the problem. I would try and test it on the office, but we only have an iPad 3 here in the office, so obviously we couldn't see the error :$ lol Anyway, thanx again for the reply.
