      Active Directory and user logins

      Your post

I have added my Windows Server 2003 to my Mac running FMS 10.

I configured the Security tab and the FileMaker and External server accounts.

I configured my Directory Service Settings and tested them.

I added users to security groups that I created.

I then added those security groups in "Manage Accounts & Privileges" and set the FMP permissions some I set with full access.

Still I can not login using the domain username and domain password.

      Do I have to use servername\username ?

      What am I missing?

      Thanks,

      WillGonz

          Thank you for your post.

Every file hosted by FileMaker Server needs a local "Full Access" username and password.  Are you able to access the file(s) using the local username and password?  If so, then your External accounts are not being accessed properly.  If you cannot open a file using the local username and password, then I would uninstall and reinstall FileMaker Server.

Question for everyone: Has anybody used FileMaker Server running Windows Server 2003 on a Mac?

The FMPS runs on a Mac.

The Active Directory is handled by Windows 2003 SBS.
