      Title

      admin_console_webstart.jnlp - wrong version

      Your post

I've recently upgraded server to FMS10.

I can launch the admin on the local machine no problem.

When I access remotely (from within the office) http://192.168.123.2:16000/  I see the Server 10 page.  When I click on the Start Server Admin link (http://192.168.123.2:16000/admin_console_webstart.jnlp) all is well, and the applet is downloaded.

When it trys to run I get "Unable to launch Application" in the java window and I notice the name it is trying to accecss is FMS9-FMmini.local.

AHA!  It's trying to acess an old file? (v9) How the heck do I point it to the right file OR how do I tell server to offer up the right file.  Is it in cache somwhere on the server or on my MacBookPro?

      Thanks.

          Thank you for your post.

First, clear the cache.  Since you are on a Macintosh, go to the folder:

Hard Disk -> Applications -> Utilities -> Java -> Java Preferences -> Network Tab -> Delete Files button

You may have also updated the latest Java update from Apple.  If so, find the "admin_console_webstart.jnlp" file that was downloaded (possibly in the user Downloads folder), control-click the file, and set it to open with:  /System/Library/CoreServices/Java Web Start

You should then be able to launch.
