Can 11.0v3 processes be run as 64-bit on Mac OSX?

      Your post

I have FileMaker Server 11.0v3 installed on my 10.6.8 running xServe.

I notice that if I look at Activity Monitor, many processes -- including Java -- that are owned by "fmserver" are running as 32 bit processes instead of 64-bit processes:

      java (two processes)

      FM Web Publishing

      fmserver_helperd

      fmserverd

Is there some configuration/setting that can be modified so that these processes run in 64-bit space?

          Hi maser:

          Thanks for posting.

Even though Macintosh OSX is a 64-bit architecture, FileMaker Server 11 was designed as a 32-bit application.  Therefore, the FileMaker Server processes will run as 32-bit services under Macintosh OSX.   Currently there is no setting or configuration that will allow FileMaker Server 11 services to run as a 64-bit process.
