Can I have two identical copies of the same database on the same server?
I am about to deploy a database to about 25 users using FM Server 11 Advanced.
I want to host two identical copies of the application on the server. One would hold live data. The other would hold test/sample data that we wouldn't care about.
I want to give my users a chance to practice data entry on a non-live system.
I was told such a setup would require a completely separate FM server, but was hoping there was a way around this.
Is this correct? Any suggestions? Thanks!
If you can give each copy of the file distinct names then you should have no trouble hosting both on the same server. If you can't give them distinct file names, then you will have trouble even if it is possible (never tried it) as it will be difficult to impossible to select the correct file to open.
