Title

Can no longer access remote dbs

Your post

When I came in to work this morning I could no longer access dbs on my FileMaker server. Other users can access the databases, but I can't. When I try to access a database I get an error saying "the database could not be opened, either the host is not available or the file is not available on the host". There are a few oddities. I can ping the host, other users can access files, I can connect with the admin utility, the host is listed in the "open remote" "local hosts" list (but no files show up in the list) I tried a few things to try to get it working again.

1. Made sure that "List all databases" is selected in the Security tab of Database Server area in the Admin utility.

2. Made sure that "Show all available files for this hosts" is selected the Favorite Host settings in the Open Remote window of FMP.

3. Trashed my FMP preferences.

4. Deleted and Reinstalled FMP

I am not sure where to go from here. Anyone have any ideas?

TIA,

Drew
