Title

Cannot see FMS 14 hosted database with external authentication and SSL

Your post

I just installed FileMaker Server 14.0.2 on OS X Server 10.10 (Yosemite).  When "Use SSL for database connections" is turned on in FileMaker Server, users using external authentication (Open Directory) cannot see the hosted databases, but they see the hosted databases as soon as I turn off SSL.  Users authenticating via "Local FileMaker file" can access the hosted databases whether or not SSL is used.

Same result with FileMaker 13 or 14 clients.  With FileMaker 14, Launch Center shows "Connection failed".

FMS File Display Filter "List only the databases each user is authorized to access" is unchecked.

I think the SSL certificate is o.k. because FileMaker Server reports "The custom SSL certificate installed on this server originated from a certificate authority supported by FileMaker".  And I can access the hosted databases using FileMaker Go.

Would appreciate any advice on how to resolve this.  Thanks!
