Cant find where to Run the consol in Filemaker Pro 11 Server

      Your post

       Hi

We are using Filemaker Pro 11 Server installed on a windows server, the person that installed has left the company a while ago and I've been recently been trying to access the consol on the server that it is installed on but can't find it. I'm logging on to the windows server as administrator but can't open up the consol.

It appears that the Program may have been installed under one user and not all users.

There services are running in task manager and the daily backups are being done but I want to access the consol to have a go at web publishing. Will I need to reinstall Filemaker server to be able to access this?

          Atrot:

The FileMaker Server Admin Console is a Java applet that may be accessed through a web browser. From the physical server or when remoted into the server, open a browser and in the URL type:

          http://localhost:16000/

The same can be achieved from a remote machine by replacing “localhost” with the IP address of the FileMaker Server.

This will access the FileMaker Start Page and clicking on “Start Admin Console” will begin a download of the Java applet. Once downloaded, double-click the applet and login using the user name and password for the server administrator.

If the password is lost or forgotten, see KB 6989 for instructions to reset:

          http://help.filemaker.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/6989/

Java will need to be installed prior and if prompted, allow Java permission to run. The applet may be placed on the desktop for easy reference.
