To save a few $$, only buy one copy of filemaker Pro advanced and buy Filemaker Pro for the other client machines. Filemaker Pro advanced is a great product IF you are developing/modifying/debugging databases. If you are just using the database, there is no reason to install FMP 10 advanced.
Thank you, but I have another Q:
you hadn't comment about FM server, do I need to buy it?
my requirement is to have server side & client side product.
Server - $999 X 1 = $999
Pro - $299 X 10 = $2999
Pro Advanced - $499 X 1 = $499
Total - $4497
Call the volume licensing dept for a package bundle rate. This way you will not have to pay the $4497 retail price.
"I need filemaker to be used in hosting a database(server side), and this database accessed by 10 users who using filemaker also (client side)."
The cheaper and less secure/capable option is to use a copy of Filemaker Pro to host your database. This option has an upper limit of 9 users, (9 clients + 1 Host = 10 user maximum). That would seem to be one fewer user than you have and give you much less security and you lose some nice features like being able to schedule regular automatic backups.
