Can clients use FileMaker Pro and Open remote to access a database hosted by it? (Even if only the sample file put there during installation...)
Is this on a Mac or windows server? (can't help much if it's on a Mac server)
IF windows, can you open services and check to see if the FileMaker Server Service is running? (Might not be if FileMaker clients can't connect to a database hosted on the server...)
Yes, clients can access the database.
FMS and the database is hosted on a dedicated machine running Windows 7 Professional.
I've checked the services and the FileMaker Server service in running.
1. I've upgraded to Java 7u2. The previous version was 6u24, which, according to this article...
...was not compatible. But I still can't don't get full access to the Console, only the Overview page.
2. Windows Firewall is turned off.
I'm facing the exact same situation as Jack M. right now. I've tried restarting the service and hard booting the server with no luck. Anyone have any ideas how to solve this?
Check to see if you have multiple network connections on the server. If I remember correctly, the way we were able to resolve this and get the FMS Console to display was to delete one of the network connections so that there was only one connection on the server.
