Do I need OS X Server for FMSA?
I'm currently running FM Server Advanced on an old G4 machine with OS X Server 10.4. I'm thinking of moving the system to a faster computer (an Intel Mac) and I'm wondering if I really need to have it running on a server OS, or if regular Snow Leopard will do.
The databases on the FM server are used fairly modestly - two or three of us here at the office are logged on all the time, and we have a handful of external logons daily (via the web interface). Does this sound like something a good Intel Mac running regular Snow Leopard should be able to take care of? What are the real benefits of running a server OS?
Thankful for any tips.
