If you have a MySQL table set up as an external data source (ESS), binary blobs will not be mapped and are unavailable. For all other data types, see Knowledge Base Article #6425 at:
However, if you use the xDBC driver, then you can have MySQL access the Container field in FileMaker Pro and put the container object into a MySQL blob. For example, using JDBC, you would use ResultSet.getBinaryStream().

Just to clarify, the solution to this problem cannot be done through a filemaker script correct. We will need to use something like the PHP Filemaker API?
