External container locations not available.

Title

External container locations not available.

Your post

It does not appear possible to enter a location on a server for storage of external container files that is above or a parent to the location of the database.  Even though the instructions say you can use an absolute path something like c:\Users\MyServer\MyDesktop\MyScans  is not possible if MyDatabase is located like C:\Users\MyServer\MyDatabase.

     Another location says:

"It can be either an absolute path, or a path relative to the database location. However, it cannot contain references to a parent folder ("/../")."

Is this a server limitation or am I missing how to do this. So far I get C:\MyServer\MyDesktop\MyScans created in the RC_Data_FMS folder which means you cannot use an absolute path as the instructions say??
