Thank you for posting.
Have you tested the issue with multiple machines and databases? For example, to determine whether the issue is network related, install FileMaker Pro on the server and then try connecting to a database on that same machine.
Is this machine dedicated to FileMaker Server or are there other programs or services installed on it? To see whether the issue is with that particular server, you could try hosting the file from another machine.
The Event.log may provide information about why the clients are being disconnected.
The server is a single use VM.
I see this event waring for the conntection problem on the server. Client "##### (CO-HR-02) [172.24.##.##]" no longer responding; connection closed. (51)
Has anyone found a solution to this problem? I am having the same problem with Filmaker 10 (windows) and Filemaker (9) MACs connecting to our Filemaker Server 10 on Wind2003 with all the latest patches. I have not checked the event log, but I receive the same issue where users are just disconnected from the database after a short period of time and are losing some of their work.
It happened on my network when clients where connected by wifi (macs) something in the network stack would provoke a network state change and filemaker would just drop the connection. Switching all clients to Wired (ethernet) connections solved it - but of course it would be better if filemaker would fix this !!!
We're running FM 14.0.5 ... Pro Advanced serving a single file on LAN
A WiFi connected client less than 10 feet away gets disconnected in about 5 minutes. Repeatedly?
This seems to parallel upgrade to 14 but not sure. Ethernet connected clients don't have problem.
