FileMaker Server 10.0v2 Admin Console Problems

      Your post

      Hi all:  I have FM Server 10.0v2 installed on a Mac Pro, OS X 10.4.11, 2 x 2 GHz Intel Dual-Core Xeon.

When I launch the Admin Console, it all looks like it's working fine, but the Admin Console reports that the database engine isn't started.  But I know that it is -- I'm logged in as a guest from my laptop.  When I click the "Start Database Engine" button in the Admin Console, the cursor spins for a bit but then nothing else happens.  It refuses to see that the database server is running.

I logged out from my laptop and closed all files (via the Terminal).  Then I stopped the FM Server from the Terminal, and restarted it.  That didn't help.  So I closed the files and stopped the FM Server from the Terminal, then rebooted the machine.  That, too, didn't help -- same behavior.  It's as if the Admin Console isn't really connected.

      Any advice?

      regards
