I've found the solution .changing default folder settings in Console. thx.
BTW, I can't upload database to FM Server . It is always saying that the given database file could not be verified as a valid FM database. please remove the file from the Upload Database Assistant before continuing. what is standard for valid FM database?
What version of filemaker Pro and what version of filemaker server are you using?
If the file can be opened with filemaker Pro, server should also be able to host it from the server. I'd open filemaker Pro and use the Recover command to check your file for possible file corruption.
I'm using FM Pro 11.0 v2 Advanced and FMS 11.02.217 Advanced(windows platform :windows server 2007). The client Pc's installed FM Pro 11.0 v2 Advanced(windows platform :windows 7 or xp pro)
The file can be opened with FM pro.I've tested it by the Recover command and then uploaded it so that the same problem is still there. Then I tried a couple of very easy sample databases on uploading, nothing changed.Maybe I made mistake I never realized.Could you please give me any help?
Not sure what else I can suggest...
Are you sure you are uploading the actual file to the server and not a shortcut to the file?
I'm so sure that the file to the server is the actual file. all the other examples I made never uploaded to the server succesfuly.
It sounds like:
- Something isn't right with the installation of filemaker server
- A issue exists with the server configuration or folder permissions
- or some such.
I suggest contacting customer support where they can walk you through the options to see if they can't help you resolve this.
How about just copy your database to the specific folder without using the uploading assistant application?
And then re-start your FM Server.
It works for me always.
