Filemaker server 11 advanced in a SBS network

      Your post

      Hi,

We're going to install Filemaker Server 11 advanced on a seperate server that is joined to a SBS 2011 domain.

The seperate server is running Windows 2008 standard Server 64bits SP2 with SQL 2008 R2 standard.

Is this a problem? Is it supported?

      Kind regards!

          Hi David Baljet:

          Thanks for posting.

FileMaker Server 11 Advanced is supported on Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows 7 Professional, Windows Server 2008 Standard SP2, and Windows Server 2003 Standard SP2.  Your setup running on Windows 2008 Standard 64 bit SP2 would be a supported operating system.  As long as you don’t have small business server running on the same server as FileMaker you shouldn’t run into any issues.  We advise you to run FileMaker Server 11 Advanced on a dedicated machine, which means there could be resource conflicts with SQL Server 2008.
