Yes, in the Admin Consol select Configuration/Database Server on the right.
On the left there will be a checkbox for automatically disconnecting clients if they are idle for a adjustable amount of time.
Check that and set the hours and minutes desired.
I have that selected already, but it has to be a long period of time, otherwise, some of our agent would be disconnected when they shouldn't be. They sometime have to leave their desk for 20-45 minutes when they are on a record. I'm looking more o a solution that would do it on the fly.
Thanks for the response.
Any other suggestion? Or is this simply impossible?
How do they close the databases?
If it's by clicking a button, you could probably write a script.
That was my intentions, but I'm not sure how to go about disconnecting from the one database thru a script.
Any help would be appreciated.
If you don't mind closing the main menu file every time they close "Database x", you could set a script to run when Database X is closed that also closes "Main Menu".
Yeah, I was kind of hopping to bypass that.
I guess I'm stuck up a creek without a paddle.
You could have a server side script that runs periodically that disconnects clients but ignores a class of clients or a set of permissions.
