Filemaker Services don't start up on server reboot

      Your post

I have a client that is running FileMaker 8 on their file server.  Whenever there is windows updates and the server reboots, the services don't start up again on their own.  I've checked to make sure the services are set to automatic, but it doesn't make a difference.  I'm getting tired of having to manually start them and make sure the databases come up each time.  Has anyone ever experienced this?

Server is win2k3sp2r2.  Filemaker Pro version 8.

          Thank you for your post.

First, I'm assuming you mean FileMaker Server 8; not FileMaker Pro 8.

It is possible that the service is damaged.  Switch the service to Manual (or Disabled), reboot, and then switch the service back to Automatic and reboot.  Does this work?

Are there problems with any other services?

Any additional information you can provide may be helpful in determining a possible cause.
