          Hi lamp,

          Thanks for posting.

The message asking if you want to trust the certificate is a standard message (it is also listed as an installation step in the product documentation).

The main issue here is that the Admin Console is not launching.  I'd like to get some more information so that we can get an accurate start to the troubleshooting process.

Let's start by verifying some information: Have there been any changes to your machine since the Admin Console failed?  What java version are you running?

Also are you on a windows or mac?  Can you access the remote Admin Console?  Will a Server reboot fix the issue?

I am also having this error when installing FM9 Advanced Server on a Mac Pro running Mac OSX 10.5.5 with the latest software updates installed.  I attempted a reboot and the issue was not resolved with a reboot.

I then did a clean install of Mac OX 10.5.x, applied all the system updates that were needed and reinstalled FM9 Adv. Server.  I tried to launch the admin console and got the same error.

            I then tried the following:

Went to a remote machine and accessed the running server at port 16000 (http://foo:16000) and got the same error.

Opened up terminal and typed apachectl -t and got a Syntax OK return message.  Any hints on best next steps?

              Hi cjalmond,

              Thanks for posting.

I just wanted to verify which java version and FileMaker Server version you were running.  If you are using java 6, please make sure to install the FileMaker Server 9v326 patch.

If you are already at these versions try the following:

              1.  Go to apple > System Preferences > Accounts > [user account] > Login items uncheck the applications listed here.

              2.  Go to Utilities > Java > Java Preferences > Security > View Cache files and delete the Admin Console.

              3.  Reboot

              4.  Launch terminal and enter the following commands:

fmsadmin close (to close the databases)

              fmsadmin stop server

              fmsadmin start server

Also, are you running SSL by chance?
