What is the problem?  I am relaying this information to our IT services department.

I have also tried running Admin Console remotely from my desktop instead of on the server itself, but

although it will load, it is very slow, and often doesn't work.  I have been trying to close a database on the server and it simply doesn't respond at all, no error messages, hourglass for some indeterminately long period of time, and then it clears and the file is still open.  Sometime freezes.
